Overview
The 2017 Forest River Sabre M-28RL Lite is a rear-living floorplan from the Sabre Lite family designed to balance comfortable coach-style living with lighter towing weights. Factory-default equipment focuses on practical construction, comfortable interior appointments and a conventional complement of appliance and convenience features intended for family camping and extended stays.

Exterior and Construction
- Laminated sidewalls and a fiberglass front cap are standard on the Sabre Lite models, offering a smoother finish and improved weather resistance compared with basic painted aluminum exteriors.
- Aluminum framed body and roof rafters with laminated walls for a balance of strength and weight savings.
- Enclosed/insulated underbelly and skirting to help protect lines and tanks (feature presence may vary by submodel).
- Exterior storage compartments with lockable doors and pass-through access in many floorplans.
- One or more exterior LED porch lights and entry assist handrail.

- Exterior hookups include city water, cable/satellite prep and a standard sewer connection; many units also include an exterior shower.

Chassis, Running Gear and Utilities
- Conventional travel-trailer chassis with leaf spring suspension, electric brakes and manual or electric tongue jack, depending on factory configuration.
- Pre-wired for propane and shore power connections; typical factory equipment includes an LP storage area and regulator.
- Onboard fresh, gray and black water tanks sized for the floorplan; tank fill, drain and vent plumbing routed to the exterior.
- Factory-installed water heater and forced-air propane furnace for hot-water and interior heat.
